Hi and welcome to episode 13 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host Ashley Glasgow.
As promised, SAP released third quarter 2021 earnings last Thursday. Cloud revenue was up an astonishing 20% and total revenue was up 5%. Yet operating profit was down 15% according to IFRS, while non-IFRS revealed operating profit increasing by 2%. Very interesting to note is that in the third quarter, S/4HANA current cloud backlog was up 60% non-IFRS to €1.28 billion and S/4HANA cloud revenue growth accelerated as anticipated, up 46% to €276 million and up 46% fueled by the Rise with SAP program.
Workday just announced Workday Everywhere, packaged connectors designed to benefit existing customers even when they are working outside the Workday platform, thus expanding Workday reach across the virtual Work From Home enterprise platform. Workday Everywhere can be used while working within Slack or Microsoft Teams to complete normal Workday tasks.
Sage and Procore just launched a connector for Sage Intacct Construction. We see this as an example of Sage taking Intacct into more vertical-specific solutions like construction. We expect Sage Intacct to make similar announcements for other hot industries in the near future.
Recently Adobe introduced new security updates in Adobe Commerce and Magento with their quarter 4 releases. Along with this, Adobe made several other product announcements which align Adobe’s tools with Magento for eCommerce for richer eCommerce functionality.
