Hi and welcome to episode 132 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.
NetSuite began the week by launching functionality across its suite of data offerings. First, NetSuite announced a new NetSuite Connector for Oracle MICROS Simphony, delivering functionality for the restaurant and hospitality industry to help customers reduce cost, centralize data, and increase efficiency. Then, Oracle announced the launch of NetSuite Analytics Warehouse Multi-Instance Connector, enabling customers to reduce costs and improve decision-making by consolidating data from multiple NetSuite instances into a single NetSuite Analytics Warehouse environment and improving the accuracy and speed of insights. Finally, NetSuite announced the expansion of its generative AI capabilities across the suite with NetSuite Text Enhance. NetSuite Text Enhance will be in more text fields across finance and accounting, supply chain and operations, sales and marketing, and customer support processes to increase productivity, reduce human error, improve consistency, and accelerate business processes. With customers starting to truly address data silos, vendors like NetSuite are releasing major data-oriented enhancements that will allow customers to not only harness their data across multiple applications but eliminate inaccuracies in order to gain better insights from the data they work with every day.
The major ERP giants continue to advance their AI offerings with recent expanded partnerships and collaborations with NVIDIA.
First, Microsoft and NVIDIA expanded their longstanding collaboration with new integrations that leverage the latest NVIDIA generative AI and Omniverse technologies across Microsoft Azure, Azure AI services, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft 365.
Then, Oracle and NVIDIA announced an expanded collaboration to deliver sovereign AI solutions to customers around the world. This will combine Oracle’s distributed cloud, AI infrastructure, and generative AI services with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing and generative AI software to enable governments and enterprises to deploy AI factories.
Finally, SAP and NVIDIA announced a partnership expansion focused on accelerating enterprise customers’ ability to harness the transformative power of data and generative AI across SAP’s portfolio of cloud solutions and applications.
Overall, these headlines demonstrate how the ERP giants are not only focusing on their AI strategy but are also focusing on building the foundation for AI infrastructure within their technology platforms through advanced partnerships. Strong AI solutions will allow customers to not only harness the power of AI but do so throughout the entirety of their businesses.
To round out the week with recent ERP philanthropic news, Sage and The BOSS Network announced the 25 awardees of the 2024 Sage Invest in Progress grant to support black women entrepreneurs in their first five years of business. The BOSS Network and Sage’s “Invest in Progress” grant is the three-year, $1.5 million dollar commitment via the Sage Foundation to support the BOSS Impact Fund, which is focused on raising investment funding for 500+ black women-led businesses and preparing entrepreneurs. We love to see ERP vendors invest in programs meant to make a difference. We hope to see vendors continue to utilize their immense resources to invest in programs like this, empowering small businesses to grow.
