As we continue to cover significant acquisitions of software vendors, we want to bring up Procore’s recent acquisition of LaborChart. This acquisition will broaden Procore’s product line through LaborChart’s advanced workforce management functionality. We expect to see more strategic investments like this in the construction enterprise software industry and from Procore specifically given their recent cash infusion from going public earlier this year.
Another recent acquisition came from Infor’s acquisition of Lighthouse Systems. This will bolster Infor’s MES capabilities. Infor anticipates that offering a fully integrated MES solution will significantly shorten time to value for customers.
In EPM news, insightsoftware, a financial reporting and performance management solution provider, is acquiring Magnitude, a specialized data and analytics solution provider, for an undisclosed amount. We expect to see the combined 1,600+ employee firm become more of a prevalent force in the EPM space globally.
Informatica recently went public again after seven years of being private. It appears that this move made by the ownership team was aimed at increasing capital for potential significant product enhancements, advancements, and acquisitions.
