Hi and welcome to episode 160 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.
Epicor began the week by announcing it has acquired Acadia Software, a leader in Connected Worker solutions that provides real-time, actionable insights and step-by-step guidance directly to frontline workers in Manufacturing and other supply chain industries. Overall benefits include real-time actionable insights, skills management and development, and driving continuous improvement specifically through identifying inefficiencies, suggesting improvements, and executing tasks according to best practices. Industry focus remains at the forefront of vendor enhancements, further demonstrated by Epicor’s acquisition.
Following the manufacturing trend, Salesforce announced Connected Assets, a new suite of capabilities for Manufacturing Cloud that gives manufacturers a comprehensive, real-time view of their connected asset data – including service history, status, and customer and telematics information – so they can better manage assets, monitor health and performance, and act on real-time data. With Connected Assets, manufacturers can now bring together all their data, gain a comprehensive view of their assets, monitor asset health and performance, drive proactive maintenance, and more. Software is becoming much more focused, utilizing available technology to deliver specialized functionality, as evident in Salesforce’s Connected Assets.
Meeting the needs of the healthcare industry, Oracle introduced new supply chain capabilities within Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite to help healthcare organizations optimize inventory management and improve patient care. The latest healthcare-specific supply chain updates within Oracle Fusion Applications include an inventory shortages workbench, mobile recall management, RFID for replenishment, and a symmetric health solutions partnership.
In related news, Microsoft Corp. unveiled several Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare innovations that connect care experiences, enhance team collaboration, empower healthcare workers, and unlock clinical and operational insights. This announcement includes new capabilities in public preview within healthcare data solutions in Microsoft Fabric, such as conversational data integration, social determinants of health (SDOH) public dataset transformation, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) claim and claim line feed (CCLF) data integration, care management analytics, and data discovery and cohorting.
Delivering innovation in the healthcare industry is becoming increasingly important, with vendors looking to find innovative ways to improve the supply chain and connect healthcare workers like never before. This is evident in Oracle and Microsoft’s recent announcements.
Next, SAP announced new innovations and embedded artificial intelligence across the SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite that provides organizations with greater efficiencies and unparalleled experiences. SAP introduced enhancements to the talent intelligence hub, utilized AI to boost its core HR and payroll offerings, and is building upon the WalkMe Ltd. acquisition to improve employee experience and adoption. AI is playing an increasingly important role, especially in our software solutions. SAP is extending the value to users with enhancements to its HCM suite.
Finally, Celonis unveiled AgentC at its global annual user conference, Celosphere. Celonis AgentC is a suite of AI agent tools, integrations, and partnerships that enables its community to develop AI agents in the leading AI agent platforms while also allowing them to use AI agents pre-built by partners.
