Oracle began the week with a bang, announcing its fiscal 2025 Q2 results. Total revenues were up 9% year-over-year to $14.1 billion. Q2 Cloud Revenue was $5.9 billion, up 24% year-over-year. NetSuite Cloud Revenue also increased 20% to $900 million.
Salesforce followed the announcement, releasing its results for its third quarter of fiscal 2025 ended October 31st, 2024. Third-quarter revenue was $9.44 billion, up 8% year-over-year. This number included Subscription & Support Revenues of $8.88 billion, up 9% year-over-year.
Combined, these results demonstrate the continuous growth being realized in the software market. Businesses continue to invest in solutions that will improve productivity and help them realize greater value.
In release-related news, Workday, Sage Intacct, and Rootstock all made major functionality announcements to round out the year.
First, Workday unveiled new Illuminate capabilities in Workday Peakon Employee Voice. New AI features will help managers by analyzing large volumes of employee feedback and delivering insights and recommendations they need to make important decisions. New innovations include generative AI-powered content summaries, on-demand comment summaries, and rules-based questions in moments that matter. These enhancements will empower managers to better evaluate the needs of their employees and apply what they learned to develop more successful work environments.
Then, Sage announced that Sage Copilot will now be available to early adopters initially in the US and UK on Sage Intacct. As part of the new enhancements and updates for Sage Intacct customers globally, the introduction of this new generative AI tool is expected to support customers with actionable insights and intuitive support to help drive productivity and growth. Sage Intacct Release 4 2024 enhancements include Sage Copilot Variance Analysis, Sage Copilot Search Help, New industry solutions with Continental Utility Integration, expanded developer capabilities with REST API, and much more.
Finally, Rootstock unveiled its Winter ’25 Release, featuring a suite of customer-driven updates to streamline critical processes and introduce enhanced functionality and AI-ready capabilities across sales and operations and Rootstock Financials. Key highlights include new sales order quick entry, enhanced grids to launch flows, enhanced sales order control and processing, new financial controls and VAT flexibility, and much more.
AI was interwoven into each release this week, further highlighting its importance in the future of ERP. We expect to see more and more AI-related enhancements taking center stage in 2025.
