Hi and welcome to episode 169 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

The week began with Oracle’s unveiling of the latest version of Xstore Point of Service. The cloud application has been redesigned on a new architecture and features an intuitive user interface and workflows that fuel efficiency and support connected retail journeys for retailers of all sizes. Xstore is built on a new, containerized architecture supported by the best-in-class security and high performance of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and the data processing power and automation of Oracle Autonomous Database. Oracle users now have even greater access to point of service tools for delivering greater value to their customers.

In other news, Infor Nexus, the single-instance supply chain network platform providing unparalleled visibility and collaboration, announced NexTrace. This innovative solution is designed to improve customer transparency and provide a competitive advantage. With the EU Digital Product Passport (CPP) set to take effect in 2027, companies need to start preparing now by implementing traceability solutions. NexTrace provides end-to-end transparency by seamlessly tracking raw material through to finished products and beyond, ensuring full traceability throughout the entire supply chain journey. Control over the supply chain remains vital to businesses, empowering them with full visibility and improved operational efficiency. Through NexTrace, customers will be able to reach new heights and, more specifically, meet emerging EU policies.

Then, Rootstock Software announced a partnership with Rootstock Scion, a newly established reseller focused on meeting the ERP needs of manufacturing and supply chain enterprises. This agreement marks a strategic step for Rootstock Software, enabling it to expand into the large enterprise client marketplace. We look forward to seeing Rootstock’s growth in 2025.

Finally, Aptean announced the acquisition of TRASER Software GmbH, a provider of deal management system solutions for the heavy equipment, agricultural, and construction machinery vertical in the DACH market headquartered in Kiel, Germany. The acquisition of TRASER further increases Aptean’s DACH footprint while also bolstering the capabilities of Aptean’s dealer management offerings purpose-built for the agricultural and construction machinery sector. Aptean continues to make strategic acquisitions to ensure future expansion and enhanced offerings to its growing, global user base.
