This is a major release for European companies looking to run their businesses on secure services through Oracle which will now provide strict data sovereignty to manage all aspects of business in this region.
In related news, NetSuite announced it is migrating to Oracle Autonomous Database to enable its customers to take advantage of the enhanced security, reliability, and performance of a fully managed Oracle Database in OCI with integrated AI. The relationship between Oracle and NetSuite deepens, as NetSuite continues to empower companies with Tier 1 technology at a Tier 2 scale. NetSuite customers will benefit significantly from great access to secure, scalable database functionality.
Finally, Salesforce, in collaboration with Hugging Face, Cohere, and Carnegie Mellon University, announced the release of the AI Energy Score, a first-of-its-kind benchmarking tool that enables AI developers and users to evaluate, identify, and compare the energy consumption of AI models. Salesforce also announced it will be the first AI model developer to disclose the energy efficiency data of its proprietary models under the new framework. AI is expected to deplete our current energy capacity, if infrastructure does not expand and technology is not developed to monitor its environmental impact. Salesforce is taking steps toward a responsible future approach to AI.
