In this week's episode of The ERP Minute, we cover new releases from NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365, a partnership between Salesforce and FedEx, and a rise in CPM tool investment from Onestream and Planful.
Hi and welcome to episode 8 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host Ashley Glasgow.
New offerings are on the horizon as NetSuite is currently rolling out its latest release, NetSuite 2021.2, with all customers set to be live by the end of October. Likewise, Microsoft Dynamics 365 has announced its plan for its 2021 release wave 2 beginning in October and continuing through March of 2022. The new features are set to improve applications throughout all offerings, including Business Central, Supply Chain Management, and Human Resources.
FedEx and Salesforce recently announced a partnership intended to allow Salesforce to bring supply chain best practices to customers who would typically only rely on Salesforce for CRM. From this, we’ve identified a parallel between this partnership and the recent partnership between Walmart and Magento, a competitor of Salesforce for eCommerce solutions.
We’re also seeing an emerging trend in our clients regarding an increase in corporate performance management tools. We don’t expect to these pursuits to stop anytime soon as demonstrated by OneStream and Planful, two software providers who have recently expressed their commitment to invest in their corporate performance management tools as they foresee increased demand from users.
