Hi and welcome to episode 83 of The ERP Minute. I am your host, Rebekah McCabe.

Last week, we saw several product updates and releases from Sage, QAD, and Microsoft.

First, Sage announced the launch of Sage Intacct on Microsoft Azure in the United States, shortly after Sage Active's debut on Microsoft Azure in France. This will offer SMBs in the U.S. the power of Sage’s financial solutions presented in Microsoft’s secure and user-friendly cloud environment, delivering greater flexibility and scalability to SMBs. Overall, Sage aims to leverage its partnership with Microsoft Azure to continue to deliver value to its customers.

Then, QAD released the latest enhancements to QAD Adaptive ERP along with other QAD Adaptive Applications. These enhancements aim to improve customers’ user experience, increase business efficiency, and mitigate risk. These enhancements also introduce even tighter integrations between QAD products, including QAD Adaptive ERP, QAD SRM, QAD EQMS, and QAD Process Intelligence to name a few. Enhanced features and deeper integrations enable customers to efficiently realize their software solutions' value and grow their business with a single provider.

And Microsoft launched its 2023 release wave 1 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform, a rollout of new features and enhanced capabilities slated for release between April and September 2023. The updates include Copilot for Dynamics 365 and for Microsoft Power Platform, hundreds of new and updated user experiences including modernizing every link across the supply chain and operations, and new ways to accelerate development with the Microsoft Power Platform. It is great to see vendors across the market commit to the delivery of innovation and significant advancements to generate greater user value.

Finally, in partnership-related news, Sage announced a new partnership with Morehouse College, the nation’s only historically Black liberal arts institution. The partnership will expand Morehouse’s software engineering program, providing students of color with more opportunities to use and study emerging technology and learn first-hand how advancements in the tech ecosystem are impacting businesses and producing new career paths. Sage experts will help to design and teach a series of new software engineering courses at Morehouse, as well as mentor and employ students as interns. Vendors should continue to look to develop programs like this to foster available talent and empower more professionals to enter the technology sector prepared.
