Hi and welcome to episode 91 of The ERP Minute. I am your host, Rebekah McCabe.
Last week, Salesforce and Google Cloud announced an expanded strategic partnership to help businesses utilize data and AI to deliver more personalized customer experiences, better understand customer behavior, and run more effective campaigns at a lower cost across marketing, sales, service, and commerce. This will be done through integrations between Salesforce Data Cloud, Google BigQuery, and Google Vertex AI.
We have been living in a data-centric era, defined by a demand for greater data access and the ability to derive insights from the data collected. Salesforce’s partnership with Google Cloud aims to do just that, putting the power in the hands of the users across platforms.
In other news, UKG reached an agreement to acquire Immedis, a global payroll provider with technology and services supporting over 160 countries. This acquisition is expected to be completed within 60 days. At its completion, UKG is expected to launch UKG One View, utilizing the strengths of UKG and Immedis to transform the traditionally fragmented global payroll model.
UKG’s acquisition supports its continued growth and commitment to expanding its technology stack. Immedis will deliver complementary functionality to reduce the complexity associated with the global payroll process.
Finally, Deltek announced the newest version of its ERP for government contractors, Costpoint, adding enhanced functionality, new innovative features, and a forward-thinking design, specifically built for managing government contracts and operations. New features include the automation of everyday tasks, increased use of Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Character Recognition, improved user experience, and greater support for small and mid-sized firms.
Like many other vendors, Deltek is working toward utilizing AI-related technology to enhance the customer experience while freeing users to complete more value-added tasks. We look forward to seeing how Deltek can extend into the SMB space to deliver the value of Costpoint to different audiences.
