The substantial growth in the ERP space continues this week, with SAP announcing their financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2023. SAP’s cloud revenue was up 19% year-over-year with SAP S/4HANA cloud revenue up 74% year-over-year. IFRS operating profit was also up 28% year-over-year with total revenue up 5% at approximately $8.4 billion. These major results demonstrate the growth of the cloud, further emphasizing the importance of these offerings for the future of ERP.
In other news, ECI announced the launch of Spruce eCommerce, an e-commerce solution purpose-built for the unique needs of lumber and building materials (LBM) and hardlines businesses.
